We started the year off with a beautifully intimate wedding at Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler.

Most people plan their weddings for the summer time, but for those who are willing to brave the cold a bit, the winter time is probably one of the most beautiful scenes one could wish for.

We were honoured to be able to capture Ailee and Gary's special day in a picturesque winter wonderland, where we stood on a frozen lake in order to get the best shots!

Check out the video and scroll through some of our behind the scenes photos of the shoot!

As you can tell from the video, spirits were high despite the cold weather! We couldn't have asked for a better couple to shoot and a better location. No complaints, all smiles for these two!

The day started out early. We arrived in Whistler and spent some time to discuss the game plan at Starbucks.

We arrived at Ailee's room at the Lodge and got right to work! One of us focuses on the bride while the other normally captures B-roll of the area.

This was our first wedding where we had to shoot in the snow and it was cold! Luckily we came prepared with gloves and hot packs.

The wedding took place at the picturesque Nita Lake Lodge. We set up most of the shots on a tiny dock on the frozen lake. Adam even had to risk falling through the ice in order to get the shots.

Trying to think about my next shot.

We covered the day up to the dinner. It was a very successful shoot and we are quite happy with what we were able to create from the footage. We were lucky it wasn't snowing or raining so our gear only had to deal with the cold.

We wish Ailee and Gary all the best and hope to shoot another snowy wedding soon!
